 Earrings and Body Piercing          

This is a reminder to ALL players of PLAYER's responsibility -

RULE        1.4

                1.4.3      No item of jewellery, except a wedding ring and/or medical alert bracelet, shall be worn.  If either or both are worn, each shall be taped.

                1.4.4      No adornment that may endanger player safety shall be worn.

                1.4.5      Fingernails shall be short and smooth.

This rule is a direct quote from the "Official Rules of Netball".  All coaches and team contacts were issued with a Rule Book in 2008/2009.   
 
In a practical sense this means

                1              No earrings - even if the player is 7 years old and just had her ears pierced, they must be removed.

                2              No nose/eye/lip piercings - They cannot be taped, they must be removed.

                3              No belly button piercings - They must be removed NOT taped.

                4              No hair beads - They can be secured in a hair net, but must not be able to flick in any way.

                5              Acrylic nails - no TAPING, no GLOVES - short and smooth.

                6              Finger nails - shall be SHORT and SMOOTH

These rules are for EVERY PLAYER - from 7 years until retirement.  There are NO EXCEPTIONS.   These rules are for every players safety
